Cape Perpetua
Cape Perpetua is a popular visitor destination along the Oregon
Coast. Located 11 Miles south of Walport and 23 miles North of
Florence. The picture above was taken from the Cape
Perpetua lookout at an elevation of 803 ft. The building
you see is the visitor center for the cape. There are 10
trails in the cape area ranging from an easy 1 mile round trip to the
tide pools to some long and difficult trails. Only the more
adventurous and equipped hikers should attempt any of the
long or difficult trails.
One trail goes thru this tunnel under highway 101, which connects
to other trails and allows one to avoid the busy highway.
In addition there are three other parking areas located
on the ocean side of Highway 101.
