Built in 1930 over Mosby Creek is 60 ft. in length.
The Stewart Covered Bridge like other similar bridges in Oregon has has
it problems.
In 1964 heavy rains created a flood on Mosby Creek. It
has enough force to cause
damage to the bridge. A heavy snowstorm with three feet of
snow caused the roof
bracing to cave under the weight of the snow. The result was the
roof collapsed.
Repairs were made but it was eventually bypassed by a concrete
structure in the mid-1980's.

----------------
Like other covered bridges in Lane County it was mothballed in
1987. In the
1993 - 1995 period a grant was received by the county from the
Oregon Covered Bridge Program to restore the bridge.
To get to the bridge follow Mosby Creek Road east from Cottage Grove
until you reach Garoutte Road and turn left.
