Spectacular
Views
When you get towards the lighthouse you are offered some
exciting views. These
pictures were taken before the fog moved back in from the ocean.
This first picture looks back towards the cove and parking lot from
which you just hiked. You also see the highway bridge in the
background. You can imagine the work it was in bringing all the
material required for construction of the lighthouse and other
buildings. The next picture looks south along the
coast. You can see highway 101 winding its way along the edge of
the mountain. The structure you see in the distance is the Sea
Lion Caves entrance.
